GarnettWork Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Damian Smith, doing business as GarnettWork (“GarnettWork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with GarnettWork.
1. Information we process
We process information you provide when using GarnettWork, such as contact details, listing information, content, media, captions, and publishing settings.
When you choose to connect TikTok, we process only the information and permissions approved through TikTok’s authorization flow. For the TikTok V1 integration, this is limited to user.info.basic, video.upload, and video.publish.
2. How we use information
We use information only to operate, secure, and support GarnettWork; provide requested listing-analysis or publishing features; and process user-authorized third-party connections.
We do not use TikTok connection data for advertising or sell it.
3. TikTok tokens and direct posting
TikTok access and refresh tokens are stored only on GarnettWork servers in encrypted form. They are not stored in browser storage or client-side code.
When you request a TikTok publishing action, GarnettWork sends the relevant media and publishing settings to TikTok using TikTok’s direct file-upload flow. GarnettWork does not use PULL_FROM_URL for V1.
4. Sharing
We share information with TikTok only when you connect TikTok or request a TikTok action. We may also process information as required to operate GarnettWork or comply with applicable law.
5. Retention
For the TikTok V1 integration:
- OAuth state and PKCE records expire after completion or within 10 minutes.
- TikTok access and refresh tokens are retained only while the connection is active.
- Disconnecting TikTok requests revocation of the authorization and removes the active stored connection.
- Video bytes used for direct file upload are processed transiently and deleted after the upload attempt completes.
6. Your choices
You may disconnect your TikTok account through GarnettWork. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@garnettwork.com.
7. Security
We use server-side access controls and encryption for stored TikTok tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the revised version and update its effective date.
